Troops Raid Takum Bandit Hideout, Arrest Five, Recover AK-47 Ammunition
Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation WHIRL STROKE, have raided a suspected criminal hideout in Peva, Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, arresting five people suspected of having links with a bandit network.
The intelligence-led operation was carried out in the early hours of Thursday, September 3, 2026, after security forces received information about the suspected location of criminal elements operating in the area.

The operation followed intelligence reportedly received at about 12:30 a.m. concerning suspected criminal activity in the area.
Troops from Sector 1, working in collaboration with Sector 3, immediately mobilised towards the identified location.
