APC Leaders Rally Support for Party Ahead of Osun Governorship Election

Senior leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have intensified efforts to mobilise support for the party and its governorship candidate ahead of the Osun State Governorship Election, with prominent political figures joining campaign and strategic engagements across the state.

The delegation included the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma; Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; APC Governorship Candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI; Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; Hon. James Faleke; and other senior APC leaders in Osun State.

The political leaders visited the state as part of efforts to demonstrate solidarity with the APC and strengthen the party’s mobilisation ahead of the governorship poll.

A major part of the delegation’s engagement was a visit to the APC Situation Room in Osogbo, where the leaders reviewed the party’s preparations for the election. The meeting provided an opportunity to assess the level of readiness, coordination and mobilisation as the state prepared for the crucial electoral contest.

The Situation Room has remained an important point for monitoring developments, coordinating party activities and ensuring that the APC’s structures are adequately positioned throughout the election process.

Following the engagement in Osogbo, the delegation proceeded to Ile-Ife for a strategic courtesy visit to Senator Iyiola Omisore, former National Secretary of the APC, at his residence.

The meeting with Omisore provided another platform for discussions among party stakeholders on issues relating to the election and the broader interests of the APC in Osun State. The engagement was described as useful and focused on strengthening collective efforts toward the success of the party.

The presence of several influential APC figures in Osun underscored the importance attached to the governorship election and the party’s determination to consolidate its political structure in the state.

As voters across Osun State headed to the polls, the delegation appealed to residents to participate peacefully in the democratic process and exercise their constitutional right to vote.

The call also urged citizens to ensure that their participation remained peaceful and orderly, while encouraging supporters of the APC to turn out in large numbers and support the party’s candidate.

The engagement reflects the broader political significance attached to the Osun governorship contest, which has attracted considerable attention from party leaders at both state and national levels.

For the APC, the mobilisation of senior leaders and strategic stakeholders represents an effort to strengthen coordination at the grassroots and reinforce confidence among party supporters ahead of the final voting process.

The delegation’s activities also highlighted the role of internal consultations and unity among party leaders as the APC seeks electoral success in Osun State.

Speaking on the election, the message from the delegation was clear: voters should come out peacefully, participate actively and make their choices through the ballot.

The political engagement was led in the spirit of solidarity with the APC and its governorship candidate, while emphasising the importance of a peaceful and credible electoral process.

As Osun State makes its choice at the polls, all eyes remain on the outcome and the ability of political parties, candidates and supporters to uphold democratic values throughout the election.
