Guests at the event exchanged congratulations with the couples and their parents while offering prayers for successful marriages. The atmosphere reflected the cultural and religious importance attached to marriage as both a family celebration and a solemn lifelong commitment.

The Wedding Fatiha is a significant Islamic marriage ceremony during which prayers are offered and the marital union is formally recognised in accordance with Islamic teachings. Beyond bringing two individuals together, the ceremony also unites families and strengthens social relationships within the wider community.

For the family of the former deputy governor, the celebration represented an important milestone as relatives and friends gathered to witness the marriages of Dr Abubakar Armayau Abubakar and Aisha Armayau Abubakar.

The presence of Governor Kefas and other guests demonstrated the goodwill enjoyed by the family and provided an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to come together in celebration.

Marriage is widely regarded as an institution built on love, patience, trust, understanding and shared responsibility. The prayers offered during the ceremony focused on these values, with well-wishers asking God to bless the couples with peaceful homes and the wisdom required to navigate married life.

For Dr Abubakar and Hafsat, as well as Engr. Faisal and Aisha, the ceremony marked the beginning of a journey that will require cooperation, respect and commitment. The goodwill messages from Governor Kefas, their families and other guests reflected the hope that their marriages would become sources of happiness and stability.

The event also offered another reminder of the role that social and family occasions play in promoting unity across Taraba State. Weddings often bring together political leaders, traditional authorities, religious figures, professionals, community representatives and ordinary residents in an atmosphere free from political or social divisions.

At the MCAN Mosque, the focus remained on the couples and the prayers for their future. Guests celebrated with the families while acknowledging the responsibilities that come with marriage.

Governor Kefas’ message was particularly centred on the importance of love and peace in building stable homes. His prayer captured the hopes of parents and well-wishers who desire to see the couples flourish in their respective marriages.

The governor has frequently used social and religious occasions to engage with residents and demonstrate solidarity with families celebrating important milestones. His attendance at the Wedding Fatiha underscored the value of personal relationships and community connections in public leadership.

As the ceremony concluded, the families received more congratulatory messages from guests and supporters who wished the newly married couples lasting companionship, progress and fulfilment.

The marriages of Dr Abubakar Armayau Abubakar and Hafsat Sani Rabiu, and Engr. Faisal Bala Nuhu and Aisha Armayau Abubakar, will remain a memorable occasion for the families involved and the many guests who witnessed the event.

For Alhaji Armayau Dauda Abubakar and his family, it was a moment of pride and gratitude as they celebrated their children in the company of relatives, friends and respected members of the community.

Governor Kefas concluded his message by extending his best wishes to the couples, praying that their homes would remain filled with love, peace and enduring happiness.

The governor’s goodwill message joined the many prayers offered at the ceremony, reinforcing the shared hope that the newly established families would enjoy blissful, successful and lasting marriages.
